How to Make a Siphon Feed Sprayer

You can make a siphon feed sprayer by utilizing your air compressor. The force of the air will send paint into the paint gun and out of the nozzle. To do this you will need to attach all of the parts to the compressor and a paint tank. You can find all of the equipment that is necessary for this project at your local home improvement store.

Things You'll Need

Air compressor
Paint gun
Rubber hose
Wrench
Paint tank

Instructions

  Attach the hose from the air compressor to the fitting on the paint gun. Press the end of the hose on the fitting. You will hear a popping sound when the connection is made.

  Connect one end of a rubber hose to the fitting under the nozzle of the paint gun. Tighten the fitting by using the wrench.

  Run the other end of the rubber hose to the paint tank. Connect this end of the hose to the fitting on the paint tank. Tighten the fitting with the wrench.

  Turn on the air compressor and allow it to build pressure. Press the trigger on the paint gun to begin the painting process.
