Things You'll Need
Instructions
Clean the oily film from the scuba mask lens and strap when you first purchase it. Add toothpaste to the lens and strap then use your finger to spread the toothpaste in a circular motion. Rinse off the toothpaste in warm water and repeat the process until the oily film removes completely.
Apply two drops of defogging solution to your snorkeling mask before every dive. Use your finger to spread the defogging solution around the mask and dip it in water quickly to remove any excess. Alternatively, you can use your saliva for the same effect.
Place your mask in a bucket of freshwater after each dive to rinse off the dirt and salt debris on it. Use a sponge or cloth to wipe the lens and remove the mask from the bucket of water.
Clean your snorkeling mask with toothpaste every two to three dives to remove all gritty reside from fogging up the lens.
