How to Troubleshoot a Sterling Scale XC880A

The model Sterling Scale model XC880A is a desktop weighing and counting scale. This model has all the features that are included with the model 825. When your scale is displaying weights that appear to be incorrect, you will need to find the problem. To do this you need to use the ̶0;Calibration Mode̶1; for the scale. You can then make changes to various options for weight values.

Instructions

    • 1

      Press the ̶0;Scale Select̶1; button on the keypad. Select the scale that you want to calibrate.

      Press the ̶0;Gross/Net̶1; button until you see ̶0;Params 3̶1; appear on the display. You will see the value for NTEP parameter and its value on the display.

      Press the ̶0;Print̶1; or ̶0;Zero̶1; key until you see ̶0;FCAL 5̶1; appear on the display. Press the ̶0;Tare̶1; key and select ̶0;FCALT.̶1; This will show you the current number of ̶0;F̶1; scales.

      Press the ̶0;Print̶1; key or the ̶0;Tare̶1; key to continue. Change the capacity at this step or press the ̶0;Print̶1; key to continue. Change the ̶0;Graduations̶1; for the scale or press the ̶0;Print̶1; key to continue.

      Press the ̶0;Print̶1; key to continue past the Cal Units screen. Press the ̶0;Tare̶1; button to change the value from ̶0;Cal F̶1; to ̶0;Cal T.̶1; Press the ̶0;Print̶1; button to begin the calibration.

      Place the calibration weight on the scale. Enter the value of the calibration weight and press the ̶0;Print̶1; key. Press the ̶0;Print̶1; key when ̶0;SPN 0.0̶1; is displayed.

      Press the ̶0;Gross Net̶1; key or ̶0;Reset̶1; key to exit the calibration mode.
