How to Remove SNS Binding With a Screwdriver

SNS Profil bindings mount to the top of skis and add rigidity as well as help a skier attach skis to their boots. Although no visible screws hold the plastic binding onto the skis, you need a screwdriver to remove bindings from the skis if they are damaged or you want to add a vinyl skin to personalize the top of your skis.

Things You'll Need

  • Small flathead screwdriver
  • Phillip's screwdriver

Instructions

    • 1

Locate the small round plug on top of the binding strip near the back of the ski. The plug matches the color of the binding strip and has a slotted depression running across the top.

    • 2

Wedge the tip of a small flathead screwdriver between the edge of the plug and the binding strip and then pry the plastic plug out of the hole.

    • 3

Remove the screw exposed after removing the plug with a Phillip̵7;s screwdriver.

    • 4

Slide the tip of the small flathead screwdriver between the bottom of the binding and the top of the ski. Push inward and then pry the binding off the ski. The binding has an adhesive on it that adheres it to the surface of the ski. Pull the binding off with your fingers once you lift the end enough to get your fingers under it. With the strip removed, the only part of the binding left is the front bracket.

    • 5

Remove the two screws that secure the front bracket to the ski with a Phillip̵7;s screwdriver.

    • 6

Locate the rectangle cover on the other end of the front bracket and pry it off with the small flathead screwdriver. This exposes the last screw that holds the bracket in place.

    • 7

Remove the screw with the Phillip̵7;s screwdriver and then lift the bracket off the ski.
