How to Take the Wheels Off a Car Blower Model

The Bentley 4.5L Blower is considered a vintage collector's item automobile. For most people, acquiring this vintage old auto is way out of the budget. However, fans of the car can purchase scale models to build and display. While not the same as the real car, these models present a nice representation of the stylish racer. Removing the wheels off one of these models must be done with care so as not to break or damage any of the scale parts. Follow a basic model building method to take the wheels off the model Blower.

Things You'll Need

Instructions

    • 1

Flip the Blower upside down and set it on a work or hobby bench. Dip one end of a cotton swab into the glue solvent.

    • 2

Wipe at the axle-connection point on the center back side of the wheel with the solvent-soaked swab. Let the solvent work onto the glue and dissolve the hold.

    • 3

Grip the wheel with a pair of tweezers and gently tug on it to remove the wheel. If resistance is met, stop tugging. Add more solvent to a fresh swab and dab it on the wheel that still has the glue.

    • 4

Work the wheels off with the tweezers once the glue is dissolved and broken down.

    • 5

Wipe off the solvent on the wheels, axle and any dripping on the model.
