The power valves on a Ski-Doo Rev 600 SDI snowmobile are also known as rotax automatic variable exhaust valves. The R.A.V.E. valves change the size of the exhaust port on your snowmobile, which boosts engine power when turning low to mid-rotations per minute. To maintain peak performance, the R.A.V.E. valves should be cleaned every 500 to 1,000 miles. Cleaning can be done in under an hour, and results in more effective use fuel as well as increased power and responsiveness. The R.A.V.E. valves can be identified by locating the exhaust ports on your Ski-Doo and looking just above them. The R.A.V.E. valves are mounted to the cylinders and are black caps with a red screw in the center.
