Instructions
Remove the battery by sliding it from the compartment on the bottom of the aircraft, then disconnect the skid from the fuselage by pulling them apart. (Two push pegs hold it in position; use gentle force to pop them apart).
Disconnect the linkage between the top rotor blades and the flybar by popping it off the link nubs. Pry open the plastic clevis (the black plastic holder at the top of the rotor shaft). Then pull the flybar out and set it aside.
Loosen the two screws that fasten the top rotor blades in position with a screwdriver, then remove them by pulling them apart.
Loosen the screw on the bottom-most white gear (located on the bottom of the aircraft). Use the hex wrench to loosen the screw, which is embedded in the silver washer glued to the gear). A simple half-turn is enough. Then pull the inner shaft off of the aircraft and set it aside.
Loosen the nub bolt at either end of the outer shaft with the hex wrench. They are embedded in the metal washers found at the top and bottom of the metal outer shaft. Pull off the outer shaft.
