Instructions
Check for a damaged control speed switch, which could be affecting speed to the motor. Adjust the switch while holding the vehicle to feel for a response; if the control feels loose, the control speed switch may be damaged. You can check this by unscrewing the cover and inspecting the area for any damage. Replace the switch if necessary.
Remove the screws, and remove the panel which covers the vehicle's motor. Visually inspect the contacts for any corrosion or physical damage which could be causing the brushless motor to fail to work properly.
Check any wires that lead from the power supply to the rheostat for any signs of fraying, loose connections or other damage; all are issues which can affect power to the motor. Have any offending wiring replaced as soon as possible.
Check whether the retaining bolts on the motor are still in place. Often, especially in high torque models, these bolts can shear off under constant heavy loads. The broken bolts will have to be replaced.
