Things You'll Need
Instructions
Cut a hole to the same dimensions of your thermal reduction exhaust fan. For example, cut a hole in the back of the cardboard box to the dimensions of 4-by-4 inches, using a utility knife. The hole should be slightly smaller than the front of the fan.
Position the fan on the back of the box, facing the hole. Squeeze silicone caulk around the edges of the fan and onto the back of the box. Let the silicone dry for 5 hours.
Cut a spray booth air filter to the dimensions of 5-by-5 inches, using scissors. Insert the air filter inside the box to cover the exhaust hole. Glue the edges of the air filter, using super glue. Let the super glue dry for 20 seconds.
Cut a honeycomb filter to the dimensions of the back of the box. For example, cut the honeycomb filter to the dimensions of 20-by-30 inches, using scissors. Insert the honeycomb filter inside the box. The filter covers the entire back portion of the inside of the box.
Position two 1-inch wooden dowels in front of the honeycomb filter, on the bottom of the box. Super glue the wooden dowels to the bottom of the box. The wooden dowels hold the honeycomb filter in place.
Connect one end of a circular flexible hose to the back of the fan, using cable ties. The diameter of the hose should be the same size as the back of the fan. (See Reference 2)
Pull the opposite end of the circular flexible hose and place it near an open window. Plug in and power on the fan and start spraying your object.
