Things You'll Need
Instructions
Locate the screws that are holding the top of the seat to the base. Remove these screws using the power drill or a screwdriver. Take the tree stand seat off of the base.
Pull out the staples that are used to secure the material to the bottom of the seat with the pliers. Take off the material and see if there are any cracks in the wood or signs of water penetration.
Measure the width and length of the wood with the tape measure. Transfer the measurements to a 1-inch-by-12-inch piece of lumber. Cut the lumber with the circular saw.
Lay the cut piece of wood on a new section of seat cover fabric. Cut the seat fabric to match the size of the old seat material with the scissors.
Position the quilt batting on top of the seat cover fabric. Fold the batting, if needed, to make it fit on the cut piece of wood.
Fold the seat cover fabric over onto the back of the cut piece of wood. Secure the fabric to the wood by using the staple gun. Pull the fabric taught on each side and secure it to the wood.
Set the new seat back on the base. Secure the seat with screws using the power drill.
