How to Replace the Outer Shaft on a Blade CX2

The Blade CX2 is a remote control (RC) helicopter manufactured by E-Flite, a company that specializes in user-friendly RC planes and helicopters. The Blade CX2 uses radio control technology to block static interference that older model RC devices were plagued with. The CX2 uses a five-channel transmitter to control the helicopter. The outer shaft of the helicopter is part of the propeller rotor assembly. Luckily, if it should accidentally be bent or damaged, it can be replaced.

Instructions

    • 1

Remove the battery pack from the Blade CX2 by hand.

Unscrew the two screws holding the stabilizer fly bar to the stabilizer fly bar holder. Pull the fly bar holder out with a pair of needle-nose fliers.

    • 3

    • 5

Slip the upper rotor head-inner shaft assembly back into position, install the blades and then tighten them into place with the retaining screw.

    • 6

Replace the fly bar holder and then re-install the stabilizer fly bar and the fly bar's holder. Also put the battery pack back in.
