Weller Wtle Disassembly Instructions

Disassembling a Weller Wtle solder tool isn't a difficult job; it can be done in just a few minutes with a screwdriver. Weller makes a variety of soldering tools that are used on electronics circuit boards and many arcade systems. The Wtle solder tool is assembled with a couple of screws and some electrical connectors. Occasionally, the circuitry in the solder tool can wear out, requiring that you disassemble the tool to replace or repair the device.

  Unplug the power cord of the Weller Wtle solder tool from the electrical outlet before attempting to disassemble the tool. Unscrew the tip of the solder tool from the shaft and remove the solder heat pin from inside the tool.

  Unfasten the two screws on the top of the heater assembly with a screwdriver and remove the heater assembly from the solder tool handle. Loosen the screws on the head of the handle with the screwdriver and remove the sensor assembly.

  Slide the control board out of the handle assembly and unplug the cord assembly from the end of the handle assembly to complete the disassembly.
