Understand the rotary dial functions of the MatchBox. The MatchBox rotary dial has numbers 0 through 9. Position 0 is the default position for the unit. Use this position for normal operation. When adjustments are made, these are saved when the dial is returned to the 0 position. Positions 1 through 4 will allow you to make servo endpoint and neutral adjustments by using stick positioning and the increase and decrease buttons on the unit, for the corresponding servos. Positions 5 through 8 allow you to access servo reversing for each servo, again use stick positioning and the increase and decrease buttons to set these. Position 9 is the position to reset the unit to the default setting. Simply select this position and press the increase and decrease buttons simultaneously while turning the power on to the unit.
Connect the unit. Connect MatchBox to the desired receiver channel, using the male/male servo lead. Connect the jumper connector for the unit to the receiver battery pack. If you are using the optional auxiliary battery pack, connect the jumper connector to the switch harness and the switch harness to the battery pack. Connect the first servo to port 1/5. Connect the second servo to port 2/6. If you have a third servo, connect it to port 3/7. If you have a fourth servo, connect it to port 4/8.
Mount the JR MatchBox. Use servo tape or Velcro to mount the MatchBox as close as possible to the receiver, if you are not using the auxiliary battery pack. This will minimize the current loss the MatchBox receives from the receiver. If you are using the auxiliary battery pack, mount the MatchBox anyplace you need it and mount the battery pack in a location close enough to the unit to connect it with only the switch harness to minimize current loss.
Set up the JR MatchBox. With only the first servo connected, adjust the servo-reversing, servo-neutral and endpoint adjustments so that the controller operates the servo as desired. Unhook the second servo linkage and test-fit it to adjust the second servo so that the neutral and endpoints match the first servo. Connect the second servo to the MatchBox and adjust the servo reversion, servo neutral and endpoint adjustments. Repeat these steps for the third and fourth servo, if you have them. Once all servos are set, check the linkages for binding when they are manipulated.
