Things You'll Need
Instructions
Cut four strings of different colored embroidery floss to 30-inch lengths. Tie the four strands in a knot 2 inches down from the top.
Lay the knotted strings out flat on a work surface and separate the strings.
Begin by taking the first string and tying a double knot around the second string. Repeat this step using the first string and tying a double knot on the remaining strings.
Repeat Step 3 by using the next string, which is the second string.
Continue following this pattern until you reach your desired design length. Braid the ends of the friendship bracelet and tie the ends into knots.
Bring one end of the bracelet to meet the other end forming a circle. Temporarily secure the circle with a pin or a piece of tape.
Add a new piece of string. Lay it under the braided ends of the bracelet.
Make approximately six square knots around the braided parts of the bracelet. Make sure to keep the knots loose as the braided ends will need to fit through the square knots.
Make an overhead knot on each end of the square knots. Make the overhead knot as close to the square knots as possible.
Clip the end strings as close to the overhead knots as possible. Secure the overhead knots to the bracelet by brushing them with clear nail polish.
Adjust your friendship bracelet by pulling the braided ends to shorten the bracelet as needed.
