Things You'll Need
Instructions
Place an existing bump key onto the scanner surface of your photocopier, and make a copy. Ensure that the image is not enlarged or shrunk.
Place another key blank that you wish to transform into a bump key over the photocopied image. Notice the intervals and the depth of each cut that was made into the bump key; you must transfer these to the new key blank.
Mark the position and depth of the cuts that will need to be filed down on the key blank.
File the edges down where marked.
Compare the new key to the photocopied image of the bump key by placing the new key over the photocopied image.
Reuse the photocopied template with other key blanks to build up a set that will enable you to open various locks.
