Things You'll Need
Instructions
Roll a piece of clay into a ball with a diameter about the size of a quarter.
Separate the clay ball into two balls of equal size.
Separate each ball into two balls each, so that you have four small balls of equal size.
Using your fingers, mold one of the four balls into a shoe sole shape.
Using the sharp sewing needle, carve the opening of the shoe out of the shoe-sole-shaped piece of clay. The piece of clay will resemble a small wooden clog at this point.
Use your finger to pinch a small piece off of one of the remaining clay balls. Mold this ball into a small heel for the boot and stick it onto the bottom.
Use the sewing needle to etch a line around the boot to create the illusion of a sole.
Pinch two more small pieces off of one of the remaining balls and mold them into triangle shapes. Then, flatten the top of the triangle. These two pieces of clay should be about the size of your thumbnail.
Place each triangle shape on the sides of the shoe and bring the flattened tops of the triangles together at the top of the boot. These will appear like leather flaps on either side of the boot.
Use the sewing needle to make four holes on the flattened top of each triangle shape. This will appear like shoe lace openings.
Place the boot in the oven and bake it according to the temperature and number of minutes recommended on the clay packaging. Keep a careful watch on the boot so the clay does not burn.
Cut a small piece of floss, about one inch in length. Tie this floss into a small bow.
Once the boot has dried and cooled, use the tacky glue to glue the floss bow onto the top of the shoe, just above the lace holes. This will make the boot look like it has been laced up and tied.
Repeat Steps 1 through 13 to make the matching boot and place them on your Barbie doll's feet.
