Paint with DupliColor Paints
Select the DupliColor primer and paint necessary to complete your project. If the item you are painting is wood, select a can of paint and primer fit for painting wood surfaces. Each surface type paint contains a variety of different chemicals necessary to complete the project and adhere properly.
Sand down your item to paint with 120-grit sandpaper. Remove any rough surfaces to create a consistent finish. Re-sand the item with 220-grit sandpaper to create a smooth finish. Wipe away sanding dust with a damp rag.
Place the item over old newspaper and shake the can of primer vigorously for 1 to 2 minutes. Hold the can 10 to 12 inches from the surface of the item and spray over the item. Move the can from side to side at an even pace. Continue to move past each side 6 inches to ensure the entire item surface is covered. Allow primer to dry for 2 hours before continuing.

Scrape off DupliColor Paints
Apply a thick coating of paint thinner over the entire surface of the item. Allow the paint thinner to soak into the paint and primer for 30 to 40 minutes.
Wipe off the paint thinner using an old rag. Remove any buildup of paint thinner from the surface.
Apply a second coating of paint thinner over the item. Apply a thick amount of paint thinner to the item, and allow it to soak in for 45 minutes to 1 hour. Scrape off the paint thinner using a plastic putty knife. Work the tip of putty knife into cracks and crevices on the surface to remove DupliColor paint from hard-to-reach areas.
Wipe away excess paint thinner, and sand down the surface with 120-grit sandpaper to remove any remaining DupliColor paint or primer.
