How to Decorate Your Golf Cart With Signs

Decorating a golf cart with signs is one of the easiest parts of preparing it for a golf cart parade. You can also add signs to the front, back and sides of a golf cart to indicate what it is being used for, such as courtesy rides for elderly attendees at a conference or college reunion. If you expect inclement weather, have your signs professionally laminated or cover both sides with contact paper before attaching them to the golf cart.

Instructions

    • 1

Tape sheets of construction paper across the front of a piece of cardboard.

    • 2

Cut the letters in your desired message out of one or more colors of construction paper that contrast the background. Make lowercase letters at least 4 inches tall and uppercase at least 6 inches tall. Larger letters are appropriate if you want the posters to be legible from a distance.

    • 3

Glue the letters to the construction paper background. If desired, draw a straight or lightly curved guide line for each line of text, then align the letters along the line.

    • 4

Punch holes in whichever side or sides of the poster you want attached to the vertical bars of the golf cart.

    • 5

Place the top edge of the sign against the roof of the golf cart or the bottom edge against its chassis. Loop a length of ribbon through each hole, around one of the vertical posts of the golf cart and back through the hole. Tie the ends of each ribbon together tightly. Secure the top or bottom edge of the poster to the golf cart with a long horizontal piece of wide masking tape.
