How to Sell Purses

Do you often get compliments on your purses? Do your friends joke around about stealing your accessories? Or maybe you just have an extraordinary supply of purses laying around your house. Take your accessorizing know-how, or your overstock of handbags, and set out to create your own side business. Once you've gathered enough purses together to set up a small vendor website or table at a craft fair, you'll be in business.

  Gather your purses into one main area.

  Clean each one, making sure nothing has been left inside. Use a damp cloth to remove any dirt from the inside lining and the outside cover of the purse.

  Tag your purses with a price you think is fair and will be most likely to sell the bag.

  Take pictures of each purse individually. If you're selling purses in groups, take a picture of the group.

  Make a listing of your purses -- either individually or in lots -- on sites such as eBay, iOffer, Craigslist or Etsy. List the price and the attributes of each purse, and make sure to note if there are any marks that would take away from the purse's value. If you prefer to sell your purses in person, set up a garage sale or get a table at a craft fair or consignment shop.
