Things You'll Need
Instructions
Measure the width and height of the small outlet port that is on the blower/motor using a tape measure. Transfer the width and height to a piece of plywood, and draw a square.
Measure the diameter of the vent hose. Draw a circle around the square in step 1 by using a pencil with a compass. Use the jigsaw to cut the square from the plywood and then the circle. This is the adapter to use for the vent hose.
Attach the adapter to the outlet port on the blower/motor. Slide the hose clamp over one end of the vent hose. Place the vent hose over the adapter on the blower/motor. Tighten the screw on the hose clamp with a screwdriver to secure the hose to the adapter.
Insert a PVC pipe adapter into the hole that you cut into the plywood in step 2. Slide a hose clamp over the end of the vent hose.
Attach the end of the vent hose onto the bottom of the PVC pipe adapter. Tighten the screw on the hose clamp to secure the vent hose to the PVC pipe adapter.
Set the blower motor onto the plywood, and secure it with screws using the power drill. Attach the dust bag to the large outlet port.
Plug the power cord for the blower/motor into an electrical outlet. Turn on the power when you need to extract dust from your workshop.
