Instructions
Pull the charging handle back and visually inspect the chamber to clear the weapon. Do not attempt to install rails or otherwise handle the M4 before ensuring the chamber is empty. Put the selector switch on "Safe."
Place the M4 on a flat surface with the barrel pointed in a safe direction.
Orient the first rail so the end with a small, protruding piece of plastic faces the buttstock. Flip the M4 so it is upside down, with the magazine compartment facing straight up.
Grasp the D-ring with your dominant hand. The D-ring is the black, conical collar between the barrel and the stock. Pull the D-ring toward the buttstock and insert the protruding piece of plastic into the groove inside the D-ring. Snap the rail cover into place.
Turn the M4 on its side and use the same procedure to insert the next rail cover. Hold the first rail cover in place at the same time. Add the remaining two rails in the same manner.
