Instructions

    • 1

Measure the waist of the person who will use the 3D hoop with a tape measure. Add 2 feet to the measurement.

    • 2

Put on work gloves. Cut a length of tubing to size with a PVC cutter.

    • 3

Upend the tube. Squeeze the tube where you are holding it. Pour sand into the open end that is facing up. Place the tube down, horizontally, onto a table.

    • 4

Hold an end of the tube with one hand and a heat gun in the other. Press the heat gun's trigger. Run the stream of heated air from the nozzle against the end of the tube until the end softens. Release the trigger and set the heat gun aside.

    • 5

Place the connector over the end of the tubing. Let the tubing cool for 10 minutes.

    • 6

Hold the other end of the tubing in one hand and the heat gun in the other. Repeat Steps 1 through 5.

    • 7

Wrap pipe insulation around the tube to pad it. Tape the ends of the insulation to the tube with strips of duct tape. Your 3D ring, or Hula-Hoop is now complete.
