Instructions

    • 1

Lay the first string on a flat surface vertically.

    • 2

Lay the second string on top of it horizontally and bring the right side back across underneath the vertical rope so that it loops around it.

    • 3

Bring the bottom end of the vertical rope up and underneath both ends of the horizontal hoop. Then bring the end over the top and back down over the horizontal loop.

    • 4

Bring the bottom end of the horizontal loop around and through the bottom loop that you created with the vertical string. You should be left with two backward "S" shapes weaving through one another with an end coming from the top, bottom and each side of the shape.

    • 5

Grab each of the ends and pull them tight. You should now be left with a square knot with four distinguishable equal sized divisions.
