How to Set Up My Polaris Rush

A long day snowmobiling is a tiring experience because of the variable conditions of the trails. The more riders drive over a groomed trail, the bumpier it becomes. The quality and adjustment of the snowmobile's suspension greatly contributes to a comfortable day. The Polaris Rush features a unique rear suspension that places the shock absorber outside the track. This allows for more suspension travel, reducing driver fatigue. Adjusting this suspension to your weight and riding style is necessary before your first trip.

Things You'll Need

Instructions

    • 1

Locate your weight range on the supplied suspension weight gauge. This weight corresponds to a location on the gauge.

    • 2

Position the weight gauge with your weight level lined up with the rear suspension's shock body end cap. This is just above where the bottom of the shock fastens to the frame.

    • 3

Turn the spring retainer adjustment nut with your hand until the top of the gauge is flush with the bottom of the retainer nut.

    • 4

Ride the Rush on the trails for a day and decide if the rear suspension is too hard or too soft for your preferences.

    • 5

Turn the rear shock clicker clockwise if the ride is too soft. Turn it counterclockwise if the ride is too hard.
