Things You'll Need
Instructions
Open the tent completely so that it is standing on all four legs. Secure the tent to the ground just as if you were setting up the tent.
Fill a small bucket with mild dish washing soap and clean water. Use a clean sponge to gently wipe down the entire polyester surface of the canopy on the top and the sides of the tent. Gently rinse the soapy water off the canopy.
Wait a couple of hours for the canopy to completely dry. Inspect the entire surface of the canopy for any tears or cuts. Use canopy seam sealer to repair the tears or cuts by applying the sealer directly over the tears or cuts. The sealer will bind the damaged areas together and seal off the entire area of the tears or cuts.
Spray silicone spray onto all the hinge points of the canopy frame and the frame itself. Allow the silicone spray to absorb into the hinge points for a couple of minutes. Wipe away any excess silicone spray from the frame itself with a clean towel, but leave the silicone spray within the hinge points.
Ensure that all the frame bolts are secure and tight with an open-end wrench. Wipe down the entire canopy tent again to ensure that it is dry. Break the tent back down and insert the tent into the tent storage bag. Store the tent in a dry place out of the weather.
