Things You'll Need
Instructions
Draw or print the floral design that you want on your shirt on a piece of A4 size acetate.
Cut out all the areas of the floral design that you want to print. Place thick cardboard on your work area to protect the work surface, if not using a work bench. This is your floral stencil.
Press the shirt to remove any creases or wrinkles from the fabric area you intend to print.
Lay the shirt out flat on your work surface. Insert thick cardboard between the layers of the shirt under the area you intend to print. This will stop the ink from bleeding through both layers of fabric.
Place the stencil on the desired area of your shirt. Place the screen on top of the stencil. Use masking tape to cover any areas on the underside of the screen that are not covered by the acetate stencil.
Squeeze ink along the top of the screen. Use the squeegee to spread the ink down the screen. This is known as a pass. Hold the squeegee at a 45-degree angle for the best pass.
Lift up the screen from left to right to reveal your printed floral embellishments. Leave the shirt to dry.
