Things You'll Need
Instructions
Cut through the lid of a soup can with a can opener. Toss out the lid. Pour out the contents of the can into a plastic storage container. Wash out the can with dishwashing liquid in the kitchen sink. Dry the can with paper towels.
Stand the can on a work surface with the open end facing up. Cut down the length of the can with metal shears. Rotate the can 180 degrees and cut through it again with the shears. Bend the cut side of the can down toward you to form a rectangle of metal. Cut through the bottom of the cut side of the rectangle of metal with the shears. Dispose of the rest of the can in the trash.
Measure 3 inches in from an end of the wooden dowel. Apply bonding glue to the side of the dowel from the 3-inch mark to the end. Place the piece of can against the glued side of the dowel. Press the piece of can against the dowel and hold it there for a minute. Release the can piece. Let the glue set overnight.
Place the block of wood on a work surface. Place the "Lazy-Susan" turntable on the wood. Tape around the rim of the turntable with strips of duct tape to secure it to the wood block.
Apply bonding glue to the other end of the wooden dowel. Place the glued end of the dowel against the center of the turntable. Press the dowel against the turntable and hold it there for one minute. Release the dowel and let the glue set overnight. Flick the metal at the top of your trap to cause the turntable to spin the target. Your spinning pellet trap is now ready for use.
