DIY CCW Day Planner

When it comes to concealing a firearm, you have two choices: on-body and off-body carry. On-body carry typically involves some type of holster that holds the weapon on your person such as an inside-the-waistband holster, ankle holster or pocket holster. Off-body carry methods conceal the weapon in an item not physically attached to your person. These include items like purses, glove compartments, center consoles, messenger bags and even day planners. Using a day planner for concealed carry can be risky, as you may lose the planner with your weapon inside. However, carrying your weapon in this way does make it more comfortable.

Instructions

    • 1

Remove the magazine from the pistol, pull back on the slide and check to make sure the weapon is empty. If it is a revolver, use the cylinder release to open the cylinder and remove any live rounds within.

    • 2

Open the planner and remove the planner pages. Measure the inside of the planner.

    • 3

Cut the Velcro to fit inside of the planner. Remove the adhesive cover and place the sheet on the inside back cover of the planner.

    • 4

Secure the holster to the Velcro sheet. Place the pistol inside of the holster.

    • 5

Replace as many pages from the planner as you can without making the planner look stuffed. Close the planner and check for any signs of bulging.
