Which Batteries Fit Hot Bodies Ve8?

The Hot Bodies Ve8 is a high performance remote-controlled car made by the Hot Bodies HPI-Racing division. The car is a descendant of the 2008 International Federation of Model Auto Racing World Championship car, but it includes many improvements from the company's experience with nitro racing. An electric servo motor runs the car, which is controlled by a radio transmitter remote. Both are powered by distinct batteries.
  1. Radio Transmitter Battery

    • Operation of the car requires a two-channel radio system transmitter, which is battery operated. Most transmitters use standard AA batteries to operate, but the specific type can be confirmed from the transmitter's user manual.

    Car Battery

    • The car itself is operated by an electrical servo motor, which is powered by a Lithium Polymer 11.1 volt battery. The battery is not included in the kit and must be purchased separately. However, specialized batteries are made specifically to fit within the Ve8 body setup. Hot Bodies Racing sells these batteries.

    Battery Charger

    • The LiPo batter that operates the vehicle requires regular charging so you should also purchase the accompanying battery charger. It is best to purchase the manufacturer's recommended charger, because incorrect voltage or cell counts can cause fires.

    Lithium Polymer Batteries

    • Lithium polymer (LiPo) batteries are an evolution of the lithium ion batteries. LiPo batteries can be adapted to fit a variety of shapes and sizes, making them an excellent option for electric cars. The weight of the car won't be impacted much, because these batteries are known for their light weight.
