How to Make a Spider-Man Web Shooter

Spider-Man imitates a real spider by shooting a "web" from his wrists. Whether you're dressing up as Spider-Man for a costume party or just playing at being a superhero, you can shoot a "web" by making your own web shooter. You will need supplies from a party store and from around the house. No special tools are required.

Things You'll Need

  • Long-sleeved shirt
  • String-shooting foam can
  • Masking tape

Instructions

    • 1

Put on a long-sleeved shirt. Roll back the right sleeve if you are right-handed, or the left sleeve if you are left-handed.

    • 2

Hold a can of string-shooting foam against the inside of your hand. Move the can so that the nozzle at one end is even with your wrist. Rotate the can so that the nozzle is pointing away from you.

    • 3

Have an assistant wrap a strip of masking tape around the bottom of the can and your arm. Have the assistant wrap a strip of masking tape around the top of the can, just below the nozzle, and your arm. Roll the sleeve down so that it covers your arm and the can.

    • 4

Go outside in your backyard. Have your assistant stand a few feet away and pretend to be a bad guy.

    • 5

Shake your arm up and down for five seconds. Turn your hand over so that your palm is facing you. Aim your hand at the "bad guy." Press the nozzle with your thumb to fire your "web."
