Dental Chair Installation

Dental chairs are used to position the patient for the dentist and dental assistant to perform their work. If you need to add or replace a dental chair, the new one needs to be assembled on-site. Installation of a dental chair is done by first determining where it needs to be located in the office.

Instructions

    • 1

Place the base of the dental chair on the floor and verify that is does not rock or is sitting uneven.

    • 2

Check that it is sitting flat on the floor, using the level. If the bubble on the level is between the parallel lines, the chair is level. Place a leveling pad under the base of the chair to level it, if necessary.

    • 3

Insert the glide bar of the headrest into the guides at the top of the backrest.

    • 4

Remove the screws that were used to secure the seat cushion to the rails, using the screwdriver. Separate the seat cushion from the rails.

    • 5

Position the seat rails over the casting on the chair and align the mounting holes. Place a washer over a bolt and insert it into the hole. Tighten the bolt with the socket wrench.

    • 6

Set the seat cushion on the chair. Insert the screws that were removed in Step 4 into the threaded inserts of the chair-mounting brackets. Tighten the screws with the screwdriver.
