Things You'll Need
Instructions
Develop a high-quality story that is in line with the original comic. For example, if you choose to write a fan comic for Spider-Man, do not write a story where you completely ignore his superhuman abilities. Instead, write an interesting story and dialogue that can be easily executed through drawing.
Draw the comic and scan it. It is up to you if you want to color it before using image editing software. Many artists prefer using software like Gimp or Adobe Photoshop to color their comics. After you have scanned in your comic, color it.
Be wary of copyright infringement. Since you are using someone else's characters, you have no ownership over the material. It will be beneficial to you over the long run to include a notation that you do not own the characters. Otherwise, you may face serious intellectual property charges.
Upload your fan comic to an appropriate website if you want more exposure. These include fan comic-specific, character-specific and series-specific websites.
