Starting your own fan comic requires creativity and skill. Since it is a two-tiered process, you first have to write a story that has yet to happen to your characters, and then you have to draw them.   Draw the comic and scan it. It is up to you if you want to color it before using image editing software. Many artists prefer using software like Gimp or Adobe Photoshop to color their comics. After you have scanned in your comic, color it.

  Be wary of copyright infringement. Since you are using someone else's characters, you have no ownership over the material. It will be beneficial to you over the long run to include a notation that you do not own the characters. Otherwise, you may face serious intellectual property charges.
