How to Wheelie a TLR

Radio-controlled cars are more powerful and faster than ever before, particularly those produced by Team Losi Racing. Many of these R/C vehicles are constructed specifically for dirt tracks and competitive racing, meaning that their stability and power are set up to keep all four wheels on the ground. Due to their power, however, you can sometimes get the front wheels to rise up, putting your TLR radio-controlled car into a great wheelie.

Instructions

    • 1

Turn on the TLR engine. If it is a gas model, start the engine with the pull cord or with an electric starter. If the TLR is battery-powered, turn on the "On" switch on the base of the car.

    • 2

Position the car at the beginning of a relatively long straightaway. It is best to use a flat surface, but on asphalt, off-road cars may simply spin their tires. It is best to use a dirt track where the off-road tires can dig into the dirt.

    • 3

Pull the trigger on your TLR remote control all the way back. If the tires grip, the front of the R/C car will rise up in a wheelie. If the tires don't grip, try starting the car from another position. Try to avoid excessive amounts of dust or gravel, as these can slip out from under the tires, preventing a wheelie.
