Things You'll Need
Instructions
Plug the magnet zapper into a nearby electrical outlet.
Turn on the magnet zapper.
Remove the motor can -- the electric motor's protective outer shell -- from your RC vehicle. The motor can should have two magnets on the outside: an "S" magnet and an "N" magnet.
Insert the motor can into the magnet zapper's receptacle slot, with the "S" magnet up. Most magnet zappers can accommodate a wide variety of motor can sizes.
Set the rocker switch on the magnet zapper to "Charge." Some magnet zappers are designed to magnetize motor cans automatically when set to charge, but others must be charged and fired manually. If your zapper is not automatic, it should have a "Charge" button. Hold the "Charge" button for about 90 seconds to build up the magnetic charge, and then release.
Flip the rocker switch back to "Fire," if the zapper is manual. Make sure the motor can is correctly oriented. Press the "Fire" button to magnetize the motor can. Let the motor can sit for several minutes, and then remove it from the magnet zapper.
