Directions on How to Release the Extra Seat on a Ski-Doo Snowmobile

Snowmobiling is a great way to get your family out of the house during the cold winter months. With a skilled operator, it can take you deep into the wilderness to places you may not be able to reach in the summer. Most models of Ski-Doo are equipped with a quick release mechanism to facilitate the addition of another seat behind the driver. This makes traveling with two riders a much more comfortable experience. Removing the seat once installed is as simple as pushing a button.

Instructions

  Turn the plastic housing for the accessory electrical connector counterclockwise. This is located directly behind the extra seat on the snowmobile. It provides power for the tail light and hand warmers.

  Push the rubber plug, fastened to the connector, onto the top of the connector. This prevents snow and dirt from damaging the electrical connection when not in use.

  Push the latch tab, located at the rear bottom center of the seat, with your finger.

  Lift up the back of the seat and pull it backwards, disconnecting the front hooks.
