Mini mills are a metal crafter's dream. It gives them the strength of a lathe, but with greater precision. While it goes without saying you can do standard lathe projects such as boring holes into metal pipes, there are also really interesting custom design projects you can do with your mini mill, many of which can be used as gifts.

Coins
- If you're a coin collector, why not make some custom coins for your collection. You can carve cars, planes, faces and sayings onto the coins. If you are hosting a family reunion, consider making a custom reunion coin to give to all the guests.
Rings
- Anyone can order a ring from a jeweler, but only a skilled metal miller can craft their own with stunning details. Carve vines, grapes, geometric shapes or even words in calligraphy into the ring. Make a custom engagement or wedding band for your significant other or a "Sweet 16" ring for your daughter.
Clock Parts
- If your true passion is building clocks, you'll need a mini mill to save you big headaches. Use a mini mill to custom form your own gears and winding screws to avoid mismatched pieces. You can even re-craft broken pieces from older clocks and restore them to working condition.
