How to Hook Up a Spektrum DX6i to a Phoenix Simulator

Using a flight simulator to practice your radio-controlled piloting skills will save you time and money. These programs allow you to gain flight experience with countless model aircraft before you ever try to fly the real thing. Making errors and experimenting is a lot cheaper with a digital version of the aircraft. Learn how to hook up your DX6i transmitter to use your real equipment to practice with your digital RC helicopter.

Instructions

    • 1

Run the Phoenix simulator program, and then wait for it to load.

    • 2

Plug in the USB interface (included with the software) into the USB port of your computer.

    • 3

Plug the other end of the USB interface into the training port on the DX6i. It is located on the outer edge of the transmitter. Flip the training switch (found on the top-left edge of the transmitter) to engage the trainer mode when using the transmitter with the flight simulator.
