Things You'll Need
Instructions
Cut seven sections of wire, then strip 1/4-inch from either end of each.
Heat up the solder iron, then apply a small amount of solder to either end of the seven wires.
Connect six batteries in series by running a wire between the negative end of one cell to the positive end of another. Press the solder iron against the wire to fuse it to the battery. Connecting batteries in series combines their voltage. In other words, a series of six 6-volt batteries is equivalent to a single 36-volt battery.
Connect the two end wires between the motor leads, the two metal plates on the motor can, then add the two unoccupied sides of the two outer batteries. In other words, the two end battery cells in your series of six batteries will have one wire connecting them to either end of the series. Connect a wire between the unused terminal and the motor.
