Things You'll Need
Instructions
Turn off the vehicle by rotating the key to the "OFF" position. Remove the key from the ignition and set it aside.
Pull the driver's seat up to access the battery compartment underneath. Use the 9/16-inch wrench to remove the positive (red) lead from the battery. Remove the mounting bracket with the 1/2-inch socket.
Place the new battery into the compartment with the positive lead close to the negative lead of the first battery. Use the battery wire to connect the positive terminal of the new battery to the negative terminal of the old battery. You are placing the batteries in series, so the the two batteries should be connected with opposite polarities, leaving the negative of one battery and the positive of the second battery open for connecting the pair of them to the vehicle.
Connect the positive lead of the second battery to the vehicle (the negative lead of the first battery should still be connected). Use the 9/16-inch wrench to tighten all of the wires in position. Install the mounting bracket by securing the bolts with the 1/2-inch socket.
Install the bench back in the vehicle. Place the key in the ignition, and turn on the vehicle to drive.
