How to Hang a Green Screen

Green screens are used in photography and film to create a background that can be "erased" later with editing software. If you are working on a project that requires a green screen, extra-wide sheets of backdrop paper or fabric work well. Once you have chosen the material, hanging the screen is an easy task that can be done quickly.

Instructions

    • 1

Use thumbtacks to secure the green screen to the top of a wall. Stretch the green screen tight when hanging, to avoid bumps and creases in the material. Climb on a ladder or step stool, depending on the height of the wall.

    • 2

Secure the screen to the bottom of the wall, using additional thumbtacks.

    • 3

Smooth out any creases in the fabric. Then secure the sides of the screen to the wall, using thumbtacks.
