Things You'll Need
Instructions
Unplug the cord from the ESS soldering iron. Plug in a separate soldering iron and let it heat up.
Pull away the outer sheathing on the damaged cord with wire strippers. Also strip away the cover on the individual damaged wire or wires.
Twist the ends of the damaged wires together by hand.
Place the solder just beneath these connections, then touch the tip of the soldering iron to it.
Place a section of heat-shrink tubing over the entire repair. Plug in the heating gun and pass it once or twice over the shrink tubing to melt it into place.
