How to Decorate an Emo Locker

Often described as "punk with emotion," emo is a form of music and accompanying fashion look, with "emo" being short for "emotional." The look is composed mainly of black clothing or black and white patterned clothing, though pink and purple are also utilized. Haircuts for girls and boys are long, shaggy and razored with long, side-swept bangs. Decorate a locker "emo style" using lots of black as well as assorted skull pieces.

Things You'll Need

Black construction paper or fabric
Scotch tape
Magnetized mirror
Old black and white striped socks
Skull figurines
Plush monster toys
Paper
Emo magnets

Instructions

  Cover the entire interior in black construction paper or thin black fabric. Secure with pieces of scotch tape.

  Hang a magnetized mirror on the inside of your locker door with magnets that are strong enough to hold through the paper or fabric. A mirror will enable you to easy check your appearance throughout the day. Cut out pieces from old black and white-striped socks you would otherwise throw out and tape the pieces around your mirror as a border.

  Decorate your top locker shelf if applicable with "emo accessories," such as skull figurines and plush monster toys. Scribble song lyrics from your favorite emo bands on pieces of paper and tape them around the locker door and interior.

  Hang emo magnets around you locker door and interior, such as those featuring skulls, black and white patterns and sayings such as "Punk Rock Princess" or "Rock Star."
