Instructions
Brainstorm about your current hobbies and interests. Make a list of the activities you enjoy doing, whether they are indoors or outside. Creating a list will allow you to view all of the available solutions that will help fix your boredom.
Call your local city hall or community center for a list of upcoming classes and groups to join. Classes may range from dancing and sports to sewing and musical lessons. Some cities feature classes for both adults and children, so check beforehand to find price ranges and the dates the classes take place.
Create a craft project. Browse craft books or online craft communities, such as Craft Bits (craftbits.com) or Cut Out + Keep (cutoutandkeep.net) to occupy your time. Sew a new purse, create an addition to your favorite outfit or build a decorative bead organizer.
Launch a blog or website to showcase your hobbies and interests or to share your views on current events or recent political issues. Share your website and blog links with friends and family to help grow your own online support community.
Get outside. Visit a park or go for a stroll through your city. Walk to your grocery store the next time you need just a few items, or take a jog to your local library to relax and enjoy a quiet read from a massive selection of books. Walk to a friend's house to visit and spend time rather than feeling bored at home.
Learn a new skill. Learn to play an instrument or study a foreign language. Practice your cooking and baking skills or learn to upgrade appliances throughout your home.
