Things You'll Need
Instructions
Gather as many cardboard boxes as possible.
Create a list of your boxes. Count the number of small, medium sized and large boxes. If you have any oddly shaped boxes, such as a triangular box, make a note of it.
Draw the shape of your castle playhouse. A typical castle playhouse consists of a three walls of cardboard boxes, a tower at each corner and a fourth wall with a door or gate.
Design the box layout of your castle playhouse. Each wall should be three to four boxes wide and one to two boxes high. Each tower should be two to three boxes high.
Tape the boxes together, if necessary. If you want your children to be able to play inside the boxes, keep the lids open.
Paint the boxes, if desired. Paint the four sides of the box with a gray or pastel color. Do not paint the top or bottom of the box.
Place the first layer of boxes on the ground. If you want to permanently connect the boxes, place a layer of glue over the tops of the boxes.
Connect the first layer of boxes to the second layer.
Repeat the process until you complete the castle playhouse.
