Things You'll Need
Instructions
Position the antlers in the workbench vice, so that the antlers appear in their natural position -- as they might have appeared on the animal, if you were viewing it straight on.
Tighten the vice to hold the antlers securely, but not so tight that they are making impressions in the antlers themselves. You can use cotton rags placed between the vice surfaces and the antlers to avoid this.
Locate the center of the antlers, which will be the lowest point, located between the two highest points of the antler racks.
Saw the center of the antlers using your hacksaw. Apply light pressure at first, and then be sure to apply consistent pressure to ensure a clean cut.
Lightly sand down the cut-edges of the antlers using your sandpaper.
