Instructions
Keep the sales receipt for your Clam ice house. All warranties for parts or even an ice house replacement are invalidated when the original sales receipt is missing.
Use space heaters and not open-flame heating equipment. Though Clam ice houses are made of fire-retardant material, an open flame will damage the ice house.
Get accurate weather reports before ice fishing with your Clam ice house. High winds will cause damage to your ice house.
Practice putting your ice house together and taking it down, to better familiarize yourself with proper installation and disassembly. It will also help preserve the life of your ice house when put it together and take it apart correctly.
Use a ski or slide to mount your Clam ice house base for easy transport. Pulling your ice house via a four-wheeler will quickly damage the bottom of your structure.
Stay with your shelter at all times once it's been assembled, as indicated by all Clam ice house manuals. Giving your ice house your constant attention will allow for immediate response if something goes wrong with your structure.
Contact customer service if you need any replacement parts. Taking short cuts or attempting to do without needed parts can shorten the life of your Clam house structure.
