How to Drill a Center Hole in a Round Shaft

Round shafts such as a cylinder-shaped piece of metal that need a center hole will require the use of a drill press. You can use a bench-mounted press or a stand-up model in your garage or workshop. A drill press drills a straight hole into objects. To drill a center hole, determine the size of cylinder and hole you need.
