How to Fix a Warped Skateboard

Fix a warped skateboard deck that has become damaged due to prolonged exposure to water, instead of just replacing it. When a skateboard is exposed to water for long periods of time, the shape can be compromised. The wooden fibers of the skateboard can be reshaped back into the original form, allowing you to be able to perform your tricks without complications that can be brought on by a warped deck. Things You'll Need

• Adjustable wrench
• Phillips-head screwdriver
• Shallow five-gallon container
• Concrete block
• Water

     Take the trucks and wheels off of your skateboard deck with a Phillips-head screwdriver and adjustable wrench.

     Submerge the skateboard deck in the shallow five-gallon container and fill it with water. Let the deck soak in the container overnight.

   • 3

     Remove the skateboard deck from the container of water and place the concrete block over top of the warped section. Let the concrete block remain, until the deck has completely dried.

   • 4

     Reinstall the trucks and wheels.
