How to Install a Badger Bolt Knob

If the metal bolt knob on your bolt-action rifle has become worn out or slips when used in humid weather conditions, replacing it with a custom bolt knob is always an option. Badger Ordnance, a weapons supply company, manufactures after-market tactical bolt knobs. These bolt knobs are larger than standard market bolt knobs and are made of a sturdy, hard rubber, making for an easier and firmer grip.

Things You'll Need

Pliers
Cleaning solvent
Rag
Bolt knob adhesive

Instructions

  Use a pair of pliers to remove the old bolt knob from your rifle.

  Clean the rifle's bolt, where the new knob will be installed with a solvent or cleaner with a clean rag and then dry it well.
- 3
  Twist the knob onto the bolt to the right in a spiral motion by hand. Once the knob is threaded and fitted, twist it back off.
- 4
  Place a small amount of bolt knob adhesive inside the knob and place it back onto your bolt and allow it to dry.
