Instructions
Use the screwdriver to loosen the two screws that fasten the transmission dust cover, then remove the cover from the chassis. Unscrew the pinion gear, then slide it off the transmission shaft. Install the 86-tooth spur gear, then reinstall the mounting screws.
Loosen the two screws that mount the motor in position, then remove the motor. Disconnect it from the electronic speed control (ESC). Install the 12T Titan motor into the transmission housing, then secure it with the two mounting screws (but do not tighten them completely just yet). Slide the 48-pitch pinion gear onto the motor shaft, then tighten it with the hex wrench. Rotate the motor until the pinion gear meshes with the adjacent spur gear, then tighten the mounting screws. Reinstall the transmission dust cover.
Remove the four tires from the wheels by pulling them off the rims. Slide on the four factory tires by pushing the tire over the rim and popping the lip of the rubber into position along the edge of the rim. Apply a thin line of CA glue along the edge of the tires, where the rubber meets the rim.
Disconnect the electronic speed control (ESC) from the receiver and battery pack, then pull it out of the chassis. Apply a short section of double sided tape to the back of the ESC, then install it into the chassis. Connect it to the first channel of the ESC; connect the red and black wires to the matching colored wires of the Titan motor.
Install the fully charged battery pack into the stock battery compartment on the chassis, then connect the battery to the Traxxas XL-5 speed control. The connection should use a Traxxas connector (which comes stock on both the ESC and battery pack, so do not replace this connector style).
Push the antennae tube up through the body, then mount the painted body shell onto the chassis by clipping it with four mounting clips. Apply three number decals (one of the roof, then one on both the passenger and driver side doors).
